Thank you for visiting BIG, Inc. I hope you have taken some time to review our site, our products, services, and most importantly our staff. One of the core principles of our agency is to build strong relationships with our clients. One thing that I learned early in my career and emphasize daily to our staff is that relationships do matter.

I graduated from Marshall University in 1990 and earned a Master's Degree in Finance from the University of Charleston in 1994. I started my working career in the Financial Planning area of the Public Utilities industry. I developed an interest in insurance and moved into Risk Management Analysis in 1995. At that time, I managed a large portfolio of commercial property, off-shore assets, general liability, and workers' compensation risk. I worked directly with Lloyds of London and various retail and financial brokerages, both domestic and international. I started my insurance agency in Wake Forest, NC in 1999 and obtained the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow Designation in December 2001. In 2007, our agency ranked #26 out of over 4,000 Nationwide agency's throughout the country.

My wife Amy has been a fantastic partner through this journey and we are the proud parents of three wonderful children: MacKenzie, Carson, and Trenton. I cannot say enough about my family. My wife is a two-time cancer survivor and a dedicated mother to our children. Without her love and support, the many successes that we have enjoyed in life would have been worthless. Over the years, we have been very involved in numerous community activities and service to our church.

Our family enjoys time traveling together to visit family in West Virginia, golf, snow skiing, Carolina Hurricane Hockey, and the unbelievable college athletics that we have in our area.
